Canada’s smallest condos go on sale in Surrey

Canada's smallest condos are coming soon. Located in Surrey's transit and amenity rich City Centre, the micro suites at Balance offer housing affordability without compromise. Surrey development company Tien Sher plans to start selling these condos – starting at just 297 square feet – to the public at noon on April 20th at noon.

Starting at just $109,900. All of the 56 “micro-suites” will include nine-foot ceilings, track lighting, laminate oak floors and a large open balcony.

While 60% of the suites in the four-storey building are 305 square feet or smaller, the largest suite in the complex is a one-bedroom unit of 653 square feet.

“One of the frustrating things for me as a developer is hearing, over and over again, about affordability and not being able to provide something for the people who make anywhere from minimum wage to about $20 to $22 an hour,” Tien Sher’s president Charan Sethi said in October.

Condo buyers are expected to include young professionals, single parents and retail employees who earn between $22,000 and $55,000.
